Transmembrane proteins (TP) can be divided into ion channel proteins, transport proteins, G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR), and other receptors according to different functions. The development of innovative drugs targeting transmembrane proteins has always been a research hotspot in the medical field. For example, some drugs exert their effects by interacting with transmembrane proteins on the cell membrane, such as receptors or transporters. Since multiple transmembrane proteins with complex structures are difficult to purify and have low expression levels, it is crucial to find relevant expression systems.

Our Transmembrane Protein Expression Platforms

Creative BioMart has specially developed three major transmembrane protein expression platforms for the development of IVD reagents and biomarkers.

With our advanced VLP platform, we can produce complex membrane proteins into soluble, high-concentration proteins that will support the production of antibodies, the screening of drugs, and the immunization of animals for IVD.

Creative BioMart has established a complete detergent micelle platform and screened several very effective detergents that can solubilize and purify transmembrane proteins and maintain their native and correct conformation in detergent-containing solutions.

Creative BioMart offers the Nanodisc platform that efficiently and gently assists in the extraction of membrane proteins while maintaining their conformation. The obtained proteins have higher purity and are more widely used in IVD.
